About M/Y OASIS
Twenty-eight metres out of Sunseeker’s Poole shipyard, delivered in 2015 and drawn from the 28 Metre Yacht line — the model whose flowing sheer and wraparound glazing put it among the most convincing production motor yachts of its generation. OASIS carries 116 gross tonnes on a planing GRP hull, which gives her the presence of a considerably larger boat and the legs to move quickly along a coast that rewards moving quickly.
Two Caterpillar C32 Acert engines of 1,925 horsepower each take her to 29 knots and settle at 22 for passage-making. With roughly 9,000 litres of fuel aboard, a week between Cannes and the Ligurian coast asks nothing of her. What sets her apart in this size bracket is the TRAC digital fin stabiliser system, which works at anchor as well as under way — the difference between a lunch stop that everyone enjoys and one that half the guests sit out. The main deck follows the Sunseeker logic of glass and sightlines: a salon that keeps the horizon visible from every seat, an interior dining area forward of it, and full-height doors opening onto the aft deck lounge. Air conditioning and WiFi run throughout. It is a boat built to be used all day rather than admired from the dock. Four staterooms sleep eight guests below. The owner’s suite and a VIP cabin take the prime positions, and two further cabins convert between twin and double, which covers most ways a group of eight actually travels. Four crew live in two separate cabins and keep the guest areas quiet and uncluttered. Teak runs from the foredeck sunpads to the flybridge. Up top, a retractable hardtop shelters the dining table and lounge, so the space works in the middle of an August afternoon as well as it does at sunset. The deck Jacuzzi sits beside its own sun lounge — the spot most guests end up claiming. For the water there is a six-metre Williams tender seating five, a SeaDoo jet ski, an e-foil, a paddleboard, a kayak and a towable donut. OASIS works the French Riviera and the wider western Mediterranean: the Lerins islands and Pampelonne within an easy reach of Cannes, Monaco for an evening, and Corsica or the Italian coast when a longer run makes sense. At 28 metres she is substantial enough for a full week aboard and still finds a berth in the ports worth being in.
