Monaco Yacht Show Hospitality
Four days each September when Port Hercule holds the largest concentration of superyachts on earth — and every berth, table and bed is spoken for.
The Monaco Yacht Show is the industry's single defining week. For four days at the end of September, Port Hercule holds the largest gathering of superyachts anywhere in the world, and the Principality operates at a density it reaches at no other point in the calendar apart from the Grand Prix.
It is also the hardest week of the year to arrange late. Berths are allocated far in advance, hotel inventory in Monaco is committed by spring, restaurant tables are held by exhibitors, and the villas on the surrounding coast that can absorb a delegation are taken by the previous autumn.
Opera Prestige arranges the whole of it — charter yachts as hospitality platforms, houses along the coast from Cap Ferrat to Roquebrune, drivers who know the closures, and the tables that are not available by telephone in September.

Attending the Monaco Yacht Show

The Week
What Actually Happens
Four days at the end of September, with Port Hercule and Darse Sud given over entirely to the exhibition. The days belong to the docks; the evenings belong to the owners’ dinners and the private receptions along the coast, which is where the week is genuinely decided.

Basing
In Monaco or on the Coast
The Principality has finite inventory and it is committed by spring. Most of our clients base fifteen to thirty minutes away — Cap Ferrat, Villefranche, Eze, Roquebrune — with a driver and a fixed evening pattern. The stretch is covered in our guide to Eze and Villefranche.

Chartering
A Yacht for Show Week
Chartering during the Show turns the vessel into a hospitality platform: your own deck for meetings, your own chef, and no dependence on a table. Berthing inside Port Hercule is exceptional and allocated far ahead; nearby ports and anchorages are the realistic alternative. The mechanics are in our note on how a charter is arranged.

The Week That Follows
Late September and early October are the warmest water of the year on this coast, and the fleet disperses immediately after the Show. Extending three or four days either side turns a working week into the best charter fortnight of the season — see our Riviera season calendar.

Monaco Yacht Show — FAQ
At the end of September each year, over four days, in Port Hercule and the Darse Sud. It is the largest gathering of superyachts in the world and the defining commercial week of the yachting calendar.
Berths and the largest charter vessels are secured up to twelve months ahead. Villas on the surrounding coast go by the previous autumn, and restaurant capacity in Monaco is held by exhibitors from spring. An enquiry in August is realistically an enquiry for the following year.
Berthing inside the port during Show week is exceptional and subject to Monaco Port Authority allocation. We work on it from the previous autumn, and where it is not possible we base the yacht in a nearby port or at anchor with tender movements coordinated.
The coast from Cap Ferrat through Villefranche, Eze and Roquebrune is fifteen to thirty minutes from the port and considerably more comfortable during Show week. With a retained driver and a fixed evening pattern, it is our usual recommendation rather than a fallback.
Yes, and it is often the right answer. Helicopter from Nice takes seven minutes, a lunch table is held in our name, and the party is out before the evening congestion. This requires far less lead time than a full week.
