There is one hour on this coast that belongs to almost no one. Before the tenders, before the beach clubs, before the first jet-ski breaks the surface — the sea off Cap d’Antibes lies flat and silver, and a yacht at anchor there has the whole of it to itself.
First light, from the water
A private yacht charter to Cap d’Antibes at sunrise is the quietest luxury the Riviera offers. The yacht slips its mooring in Cannes or Golfe-Juan while the town still sleeps, and by the time the sky begins to colour you are rounding the cape, the pines of the Cap dark against the first light. It is a passage of perhaps half an hour, and it is entirely private — the crew discreet, the deck yours alone.
Breakfast at the Baie des Milliardaires
The yacht drops anchor off the eastern side of the cape, within sight of the Baie des Milliardaires and the silhouette of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc among the parasol pines. Here breakfast is served on deck — champagne, warm pastries carried from Cannes at dawn, figs and peaches from the market. The water at this hour is glass-clear and still cool; a swim from the stern, with no other boat in view, is the part guests remember longest.
Just for two
This is a charter designed for two. Anniversaries, proposals, or simply a morning stolen from a busy stay — the intimacy is the point, and the crew is briefed to be present only when needed and invisible otherwise. The return
By nine o’clock the coast is waking, and that is the signal to turn back. The return crossing brings you into port as the day proper begins — the morning already complete, and the rest of it still ahead.
