The Monaco Grand Prix is the only race run through a living city, and the only one whose best seats are private windows rather than grandstands. Above the barriers, on the terraces of apartments that overlook the circuit, the weekend is experienced not as spectator but as host.
The view from above the barriers
A Monaco Grand Prix private terrace changes the character of the weekend entirely. From a balcony over the track you look down on the cars threading the harbour chicane, the sunlight off the yachts in Port Hercule behind them, and the whole choreography of the circuit laid out below. There is no queue, no shared suite, no compromise on where you stand — the terrace is yours, and so is the day.
- An unshared view of the circuit, from an apartment or rooftop over the track.
- Full catering and staff — a private chef, service, and bar for your guests.
- Complete discretion, away from the crowds and the general hospitality areas.
- Flexibility across the three days of practice, qualifying, and the race.
The most coveted addresses
Not all terraces are equal. The exit of the tunnel and the plunge to the harbour chicane offer the sport at its most dramatic; the descent from Casino Square through Mirabeau gives the longest sightline. A small number of apartments above the start-finish straight look directly onto the pit lane. These addresses are held by a handful of owners and released quietly, if at all — which is why they must be secured months ahead through relationships rather than open booking.
The weekend, composed
The terrace is the centrepiece, but the weekend surrounds it. Arrival by helicopter from Nice, a berth in Port Hercule, dinner at a private table on the Saturday, and a chef on the terrace through race day — each element is arranged as one continuous service. Our full Monaco Grand Prix guide sets out the weekend in detail, and our Grand Prix yacht charter extends it onto the water.

When to begin
The race falls on the last weekend of May. The terraces worth having are gone by the new year, and the very best are spoken for the preceding summer. The single most important decision is timing: begin early, and the weekend can be built exactly as you wish; begin late, and you take what remains. We recommend opening the conversation no later than the autumn before, through our concierge team.
