Set in Località Alverà, on a quiet road on the eastern side of Cortina d'Ampezzo, Casa Aurea occupies 320 square metres of a chalet built almost entirely from reclaimed Alpine timber. The wood carries its own history: beams darkened by a century of weather, floorboards worn smooth, panelling that holds warmth the way old houses do. A hand-painted majolica stove anchors the main living room, where carved benches and worn kilims gather around the fire. Four bedrooms sleep ten. Beyond the terrace, the Dolomite walls rise in every direction, while the town itself — its bakeries, its restaurants, its lifts — sits a few minutes away. A private sauna closes the day.
Ski passes, instructors, equipment fitted at the chalet, transfers, a private chef and daily housekeeping — our team arranges the week before you arrive and stays available throughout your stay.
The apartment has four bedrooms and sleeps up to ten guests — three bedrooms with a king-size double bed and one with two single beds.
The sauna is private to the apartment. We confirm the conditions of use at the time of booking.
Casa Aurea is in Località Alverà, minutes from the centre of Cortina d'Ampezzo and a short drive from the lifts of the Dolomiti Superski area. Ski equipment is fitted on site.
Bolzano is the closest airport, roughly 103 km away. Venice and Treviso are the usual international gateways, and we arrange a private transfer or a helicopter from either.
